Our Commitment
At The Ohana Project, we believe that transitions—whether of space, season, or self—are sacred moments that deserve care, integrity, and connection. The heart of our work is grounded in values of family, respect, and shared responsibility.
The word ʻohana holds deep cultural significance in Native Hawaiian tradition. It speaks to a sense of belonging and interdependence: that family—chosen or given—is never left behind or forgotten. Though we are not based in Hawaiʻi, the spirit of ʻohana profoundly shaped our vision. Our name is a tribute to time spent there and the deep inspiration we found in how elders, ancestors, and communities are honored.
We use this name with humility and intention. We recognize the cultural weight it carries, and we are committed to honoring its roots not just in word, but in action.
As part of this commitment, we donate 5% of our net proceeds to organizations that preserve and uplift Native Hawaiian culture and communities. We are proud to support the PAʻI Foundation, which sustains traditional Hawaiian arts, language, and cultural practice.
Giving back is not a side note—it is part of how we walk in alignment with our values.
